Biosketch:
Iyanu Adufe is a public health professional with expertise in health promotion and disease prevention. A Swiss Plexus Fellow who has authored several publications majorly on sexual reproductive health and rights, and health care systems. Aside from her role as an academic who trains undergraduate public health students, she also provides technical support for development partners implementing and evaluating health programmes and interventions - her contribution to community development. She recently led the mid-line evaluation of the World Bank-funded NG-CARES (Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus) programme across three results areas and four disbursement-linked indicators in Osun State.
Adufe holds a bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Osun State University (2014), a Master of Public Health degree in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Ibadan (2018), and a PhD in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from Adeleke University (2023) where she won the Best Overall Doctor of Philosophy Student - Faculty of Basic Medical Science.
Dr Adufe is currently investigating the effect of health education programmes on antimicrobial resistance prevention among adolescents in Osun State.
